(Guess who hasn't figured out how to get into the rooms still? This medieval guy. Not one to be deterred though, he can be found outside the door crouched down next to the lock. He's taken off his insignia badge and is using the pin to pick the lock.
(He absolutely knows how to unlock a door just not a modern door like this!! Seeing that Laine seems to have some sort of idea, he'll step back though, returning his pin to his cloak.)
(Exciting! He's going to try exactly what Laine did and... it clicks! He's just as surprised the second time as he was the first time, )
Interesting! (Color him intrigued.) I take it this sort of mechanization is common in your world? Or maybe, something more advanced?
(Anyway just going to open the door now so they can both go in!!! Sure looks like a normal room. Dunno exactly what's on the beds but on one of them, there's at least a silver bow.)
We typically use biometrics for locks. It's easy to steal someones communicator, it's a little harder to steal a pheromone signature or trick a full body sca--
Oh, come on. [He says, grabbing something (fist-sized but flat, black and yellow, maybe it's some kind of badge?) off the table and slipping it into his pocket.]
(These sure are a lot of words that make sense individually but sound pretty wild when they're together. )
Like some sort of blood magic?
(The kind of thing you read in stories warning people not to dabble in forbidden spells... or certain conspiracies about not using certain artifacts you have no birthright claim to.
Reaching for his bow, he plucks at the string and weighs it in his hand. Yup, this is his and it's all fine and good but... Hm. He looks around. He doesn't see his quiver anyway.)
Seriously! What's the point of a bow without arrows...
I could make them but the quality would depend on whatever materials I can get. Not to mention, it takes time to make. An arrow's more than just a pointy stick with feathers, after all.
Wood or metal, usually. Metal is more durable but good luck making one of those from scratch. Wood is easier but the quality really depends on the type of wood you're working with.
(It looks like wood it is, then!)
After that, you need something to keep all of the parts together. Usually string or some sort of glue. You don't necessarily need a head since you can just sharpen the tip but you'll need something to keep the fletching in place..
(Basically, yeah, he knows what he's talking about here.)
intro weekend, friday
An attempt is being made here. )

Something wrong with the lock?

The answer to that question ( Give him a sec, he thought he heard something.... nope. ) depends entirely on what you want the lock to do.

Mind if I try?

click.]
Looks like that did it. It's a proximity lock, and these communicators are the keys.

What was that?
(He just moved his PHS in front of the lock and it worked?)
Ah, let me try.
(He wants to tryt his for himself??)

[Laine tests to see if it's locked itself again, then steps back. Go ahead, Claude.]

Something like that.
Are arrows something you can make, or do you get them from someone else?
